Registered Nurse for the AK Clinic

NU-sjukvården is part of the Västra Götaland region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

About the Operation

The AK clinic (Anticoagulation Clinic) takes care of patients treated with Waran/Warfarin. We are located at NÄL and cover the entire NU-sjukvården catchment area. The clinic is well-functioning and is appreciated for its good treatment of both patients and staff both inside and outside the hospital.

At the AK clinic, we work with dosing of Waran/Warfarin based on a special AK journal where values and dosages are registered. Due to significant individual variation, the Waran/Warfarin dose must be tested and monitored regularly for each patient. We provide information to all patients starting treatment with Waran/Warfarin and offer telephone advice to patients, relatives, and other healthcare providers inside and outside the hospital.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with several years of experience in somatic care. The majority of patient contacts at the clinic occur via telephone. You should feel comfortable with and appreciate such meetings with patients. You are committed to providing good service and a positive experience for both patients and healthcare providers.

Since the work as a nurse is very independent and largely based on your own analyses and assessments, we also see that you are a stable and secure person who communicates clearly. You are good at seeing the big picture as well as the importance of involving the patient in their own care. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Other

The position at the clinic is 75%. We work Monday to Friday. If you are interested in a 100% position, we are open to a combination with work in inpatient care in specialist medicine.
